Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to read your books in order?
Unless stated, not necessarily. The only exception is the Reflections trilogy which must be read in order. That being said though, for the best ‘reader’ experience, you should definitely read them all, lol.

Will your books be out in audio format?
Yes! Lies is currently in production with the team at Pink Flamingo Productions. Rain has been optioned as well. There is nothing set in stone for the others at this time, but I’d definitely like to!

Do you ever get writer’s block?
I don’t really ‘believe’ in writer’s block in a traditional sense; I believe anxiety and self-doubt is what ‘blocks’ our creative process. Many years ago, I asked J.R. Ward for advice and I’d love to impart it to you: focus is like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the easier it gets.

Imposter syndrome on the other hand… work in progress!

Who are your favourite authors?
Penelope Douglas—I’ll read anything they publish, even their shopping list. My definite “one-click authors” include Victoria Woods, Roxanna C. Revell, Ashlyn Drewek, and J.L. Lennon.

Are you attending any book signing events?
Check my Events page! If there’s a city you’d like to see me in, send me a DM!

Are all your books set in the same universe?
For now, yes. As a reader, I love being able to get glimpses of characters I’ve fallen in love with in other books—why not do that as an author, too?

Will Livy be getting her own book?

When will Lainey and Max be getting their story?
Lainey and Max are not a confirmed pairing. They have a very close relationship and a lot of respect for one another, but it’s closer to a deep relationship with benefits rather than romance/partnership. That’s not to say that they won’t both get their own book—just not necessarily with each other.

When do Max, Vince and Gabe get their book? What about Drew?
You bet! Vince is up next, then it’ll be Gabe’s turn. Drew will be after him, and finally, Maxwell.

What book was the hardest for you to write?
Adrenaline. Period. Full stop. I feel fatigued thinking about it sometimes.

Rain is a very close second. It’s the only book I don’t find myself reaching for to flip through casually. There’s too much of myself within the pages.

What tools do you use?
Writing processor wise, I use Scrivener. I love making storyboards on Pinterest, or building inspirational playlists on Spotify.

Do you write under a pen name?
Yes!

Who is your favourite character?
We’re not supposed to have favourites… but Dom. (Sorry, Sean.)

Are you Canadian?
What gave me away?

Do you have a street team?
I sure do. You can sign up here.

How do I sign up for ARCs?
You can join my permanent ARC team here. Otherwise, when I have an upcoming release, you’ll find the ARC sign up link under the book’s page on my site. You can also check the link on my bio on Instagram for the link.

Any advice for aspiring writers?
If you write, you’re a writer—don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. How you speak to yourself is extremely important. Writing is a coalescence of creativity and willpower—don’t count on inspiration. Inspiration is like a very flakey fuck boy. Easy on the eyes, an amazing fuck, but you might not hear from him again for three weeks. Sometimes, you’re going to love what you’ve got down, and other times, you’re going to find yourself contemplating life choices and hoping the fuck boy will call—write anyway. We can’t edit what isn’t there. You’ve got this!
